During the last half of April 2015, Televerde (a corporate sales & marketing firm) contracted me to design an email pitch, and landing page, for VMware’s (cloud and virtualization software company) new Horizon 6 software/service promo campaign. The goal of the project was to create responsive layouts with increased visual appeal, focus and “call to action” for their new content/service. I was asked to create two different versions: A.(safe) based on VMware’s current branding, and B.(experiment), a “free rein” design with a new style approach. Client was delighted by both designs and ended up implementing version A.
Out of the two, my favorite was version B. because of its updated/refreshed look and personality that most likely would be very appealing to their audience. Both versions I had to create graphic assets(icons, promo images, etc.), but put the most time into B. because all of the visual content was created from scratch. Below is drafts of version B.
