]]> Candescent Films produces award winning documentary films that examine a wide range of important cultural, social and political issues. In 2010, motivated by interests in social injustice and a passion for film, Lilly Hartley founded Candescent Films to support film makers who courageously aim public attention towards relevant, and often overlooked, volatile issues arising in the world today.

In Spring 2104, I began developing Candescent’s new website (with initial designs by the prestigious Ro & Co) utilizing the Squarespace platform. It’s a heavily modified theme utilizing both Squarespace’s interface and front end code (HTML/CSS/Javascript) for interactivity, content management, responsive functionality and social media sharing. From time to time, I also edited various film promos and designed updated page layouts.

]]> Kinfolk is a unique life-style company, based out of Brooklyn, NY, who have become a multicultural phenomena by producing unique merchandise and experiences. Their signature product is custom hand crafted/high profile bicycles whose frames are molded and constructed by a traditional Japanese sword maker. They also have a full clothing line, shop, cafe, restaurant and bar that hosts parties and events.

Back in fall 2013, Salah Mason created designs for a new Kinfolk website and I was selected for the task of developing it. The site is a custom WordPress theme, built from the ground up, with a focus on content flexibility and mobile design. I made a number of modifications to the back end to create the layout needed, and also, create a better/more efficient admin experience managing and posting content.
